Psalms
Chapter 1
1 Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked; nor stands in the way of sinners; nor sits in the seat of scorners.
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in His law he meditates day and night.
3 For he shall be like a tree, planted by a river of waters, that gives its fruit in its season; and its leaf does not wither, and all that he does prospers.
4 Not so with the wicked, but they are only as the chaff, that is driven by the wind.
5 Therefore, the wicked shall not rise in judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6 For the LORD knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked, shall perish.
Chapter 2
1 Why do the Gentiles rage, and the people imagine vanity.
2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together against the LORD and against His Annointed.
3 Let us break their bonds and cast from us their cords.
4 He that sits in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
5 Then He will speak to them in His anger and trouble them in His wrath.
6 Yet have | set my king upon Zion, my holy mountain.
7 I will declare the statute the LORD has said to me, you are my Son, this day have I begotten you.
8 Ask from me, and | will give you the Gentiles for your inheritance, and the ends of the earth for your possession.
9 You shall break them with a rod of iron; you shall dash them in pieces as a potter's vessel.
10 And now kings be wise; be instructed judges of the earth.
11 Serve the LORD in fear, and rejoice in trembling.
12 Kiss the son, Lest he be angry, and your way perishes, when His wrath is a little kindled. Blessed are all that trust in Him.
